On Ubuntu install with:

`sudo apt-get install golang`

Then build the hello world app:

```
package main

import "fmt"

func main() {
    fmt.Println("hello world")
}
```

Then run:

`go run hello-world.go`

Or compile and run:

`go build hello-world.go`

`./hello-world`
